<p class="texto">Segundo a funcionária, em Darfur, as Forças de Apoio Rápido (RSF, na sigla em inglês) conseguiram significativos avanços militares entre 26 de outubro e 4 de novembro, assumindo o controle das bases das Forças Armadas Sudanesas (SAF) em Nyala (Darfur do Sul), Zalingei (Darfur Central) e El Geneina (Darfur Ocidental) nesse período.</p>
<p class="texto">Agora estão se dirigindo para El Fasher, em Darfur do Norte, expandindo seu controle territorial sobre todos os lugares estratégicos da região de Darfur, acrescentou.</p>
<p class="texto">Há relatos "críveis", de acordo com Pobee, de novos surtos de violência étnica e estupros e abusos sexuais contra mulheres e meninas, perpetrados por homens armados, especialmente das RSF.</p>
<p class="texto">Desde 15 de abril, o chefe do Exército, general Abdel Fatah al Burhan, e as RSF do general Mohamed Hamdan Daglo estão em conflito pelo controle do país, resultando em mais de 6 mil civis mortos e 7,1 milhões de deslocados, segundo a ONU.</p>
<p class="texto">Cerca de 4,1 milhões de pessoas receberam ajuda humanitária nos últimos sete meses, o que representa 22% do previsto pelas organizações humanitárias, indicou a funcionária.</p>
<p class="texto">Em 29 de outubro, as negociações foram retomadas em Jidá, sob a égide da Arábia Saudita e dos Estados Unidos. Apesar de as partes expressarem disposição para negociar um cessar-fogo, os confrontos têm se intensificado no terreno, lembrou Pobee.</p>
